Nurse Educator

The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) invites applications from suitably qualified persons to serve as a Nurse Educator in the Regular Force.

Qualifications

• Be a Jamaican citizen or a Commonwealth National
• Be registered with the Nursing Council of Jamaica
• Hold the qualification of RN, RM, MSc.  in Nursing Education from an accredited university.
• Have at least five (5) years experience in a similar capacity

Duties and responsibilities

• Overseeing and maintaining the mental health and wellness for members of the JDF and their families.
• Classroom teaching , developing and instituting curricula that meet current demands of Medical Assistants.
• Provide hands-on training and supervision for Medical Assistants.
• Design educational programmes for all members of the medical team, taking into account varying skill levels.

Key competency

• Have an aptitude and desire to assimilate into military life.
